Powered by 40- to 80-volt lithium-ion batteries and having two or three disks of steel-trowel tines, they are reportedly able to till (break up) soil to a depth of 5 to 8 inches. Being relatively lightweight (25-35 pounds) and narrow (10-12 inches wide), they're easier to maneuver and cultivate close to the growing plants.
